Frequently Asked Questions

Are The Classes Safe?
Safety is our main priority when it comes to teaching your child. Our teaching staff are all CRB checked, emergency first aid trained and undergo continued education in teaching & coaching for young people.

Our junior curriculum has been designed to make sure the techniques your child learns are safe and age appropriate whilst remaining challenging enough for your child to gain maximum benefit from their learning experience. Children are taught in separate classes to adults as their learning needs are very different.

Will My Child Have Fun?
If children aren’t having fun they don’t learn, having fun is an important part of the learning process in young people. Our teaching staff are fantastic with children and recognise the need for fun whilst keeping a strong sense of discipline within the group. Some of our junior students have been with us over ten years, if they weren’t having fun, they wouldn't be with us still.

What Will My Child Learn?
Not only will your child be learning the technical skills involved in martial arts but more importantly they will be learning a variety of life skills which can help set them on the road to success in every area of their life. Our unique martial arts education programme teaches children important life skills such as; courtesy, self-discipline, respect for self and others, focus, control & teamwork amongst others.

As children progress through the programme they have the opportunity to learn higher level skills such as martial arts weapons training. This highly popular aspect of martial arts is taught using specially developed foam padded safety weapons, is completely safe and a whole lot of fun.

Leadership is a much sought after quality which will put your child at the front of the cue when it comes to gaining employment later on in life. Our unique success for life programme teaches children the skills and qualities that are needed when taking a leadership role.

How Will My Child Progress?
Becoming a black belt in the martial arts doesn’t happen overnight, setting the goal of black belt is a long term project. martial arts offers an easy step process with the martial arts belt award system.

As students progress through the curriculum they are regularly tested on their technical development and are awarded coloured belts in recognition of their progress and achievement through the martial arts curriculum.

The rank of black belt, though a great achievement for anyone is only the beginning of a journey of self discovery which can last a life time.
